Call for memorabilia
The Mount Isa Mines community relations department is seeking any contributions of Mount Isa Mines memorabilia including magazines, photos, newspaper clippings, equipment or commemorative items.
These will be used to develop historical displays for our 85th Anniversary celebrations during 2009. All items will be catalogued and returned.

Xstrata Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo
7, 8 & 9 August 2009
The Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo is where the romance of the Australian Outback meets the grit of an international resources boom.
It's where city meets country, east meets west, man meets beast.
With a packed program of rodeo events - saddle bronco riding, bareback bronco riding, bull riding, rope & tie, steer wrestling and team roping, wild horse racing, ladies barrel racing and ladies breakaway roping - this year's rodeo is set to be the best yet.
And that's just the ring.
Throw a Mardi Gras, Ute Muster, Rodeo Queen Quest, Bull Pit and Best Dressed Business competition into the mix and you've got one big party. |

Mount Isa: A journey from 1924 - 2009
Xstrata will host a free exhibition celebrating 85 years of commerce and community in Mount Isa, held from Monday 5 October until Friday 16 October. The exhibition will be housed in the lobby of the Riverside Centre, 123 Eagle St, Brisbane.
